'This Must Be the Place: Latin American Artists in New York, 1965–1975', group exhibition at the Americas Society, curated by Aimé Iglesias Lukin, director and chief curator of Visual Arts at the institution, is a relevant two-part project that aims to recover the memory of young Latin American producers in New York City between the mid-1960s and mid-1970s. The exhibition presents both an overview of the experimental languages used by artists, such as installation, video, photography, among others, as well as of the main themes addressed in his works - migration, identity, politics, nostalgia, and exile. On the other hand, the exhibition also highlights the community aspect in the relations created between these artists in an attempt to reestablish affective circuits in a context of displacement, as well as the need to collectively create a favorable space for the creation and circulation of works. Antonio Dias participates in the exhibition with works from his celebrated series 'The Illustration of Art', developed in the early 1970s, when he was living abroad, in several cities, like Paris, Milan, Berlin, and New York.
