On the occasion of the opening of the Biennale di Venezia, JR presented 'L'Observatoire', a project consisting of a train carriage from the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, inspired by the artist's studio, the astronomical observatories and curiosity cabinets of Renaissance Europe. JR has created a creative refuge in the existing structure using centuries-old craft techniques that preserve the train's appearance, creating environments full of hidden details that arouse curiosity and instigate the imagination.
Between April 17 and 22, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express will give the public a unique opportunity to visit the inside of the carriage.
