For the exhibition Carton plein, Xavier Veilhan is investing the Centre Pompidou-Metz’s Paper Tube Studio with the idea to give life to his most recent film, Film Catastrophe. Like an ode to the ephemeral, everyday objects mixed with found objects from his studio are piled up so that they become unstable, their collapse being immortalized in short filmed sequences. Visitors will be able to create their own sculptures, in a spontaneous and provisional way, and will film their collapse in the PTS, which will take the form of a film studio.
