Works by Brígida Baltar and Tomie Ohtake are currently in Composições para tempos insurgentes, a group exhibition curated by Beatriz Lemos, Keyna Eleison, and Pablo Lafuente at the Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro (MAM Rio). The exhibition is a celebration of Frans Krajcberg's centenary, an icon of the entanglement between art and nature in Brazilian culture. The curators have articulated works by artists from different generations and contexts that focus on the relationships between nature and communities, proposing new ways of creating and relating to the world. Baltar exhibits two pieces, Irmãs (2017) and Favos (2003), which deal with the relationships between body, home, and community; Ohtake participates with Untitled (1991), an abstract painting full of gestural expressiveness, whose unlimited and vaporous contours point to other possibilities of new perceptions of the world.
