The Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói (MAC Niterói) inaugurates the exhibition Tirando Onda by Not Vital. The show presents recent sculptures created especially for the museum, including Moon, in stainless steel, and a set of five granite pieces from the series that lends its name to the exhibition, installed in the outdoor area. In the large first-floor gallery, the artist occupies the space solely through the floor, presenting 2,222 gypsum Snowballs — a tribute to Oscar Niemeyer’s architecture and to the landscape that shaped him, among the snowy mountains of the Engadine.

On the second floor, Not Vital presents fourteen large-format paintings — self-portraits developed since 2009 — alongside two black quartzite sculptures based on his own ears. Internationally recognized and featured in major public and private collections, the artist expands here his investigation across sculpture, architecture, and painting, in works that engage with materiality, landscape, and perception.
