The 17th edition of the Paraty Literary Festival, which takes place from July 10 to 14, presents the Terra Nova project, a visual arts module that intends to carry out art interventions that connect with the city. Curated by Fernanda Diamant, this first year of the project, features No Ar installation by Laura Vinci( photo) and the performance Máquinas do Mundo, by the Mundana theater company.

No Ar will be installed on the bridge that is the main public access to the Historical Center, where a vapour cloud will establish a reflection on the transformation of the states of nature. On the other hand, the performance, that can be understood as an overlaping zone between the visual arts, literature, and theater, explores the aesthetic potentialities contained in the counterpoint between the poem The machine of the world, by Carlos Drummond de Andrade; "Delirium", seventh chapter of Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas, by Machado de Assis; and a chapter of Clarice Lispector's The Passion According to G.H.
