Cristina Canale and Raul Mourão are participating in the exhibition The Artist's Choice, an exhibition on view at the Roberto Marinho House in Rio de Janeiro from March 13 to September 19. The exhibition proposes that each artist choose and organize works from the collection in dialogue with their own production.
In Canale's case, the selection focuses on the portrait, a central theme in his practice. In addition to her painting Mermaid (2020), the artist presents works by modernist masters such as Sonia Delaunay, Guignard, and Di Cavalcanti, allowing the public to observe various possible paths in the representation of individuals.
