On August 1st, the Museu da Língua Portuguesa reopened to the public following five years of closure due to a fire in 2015. Amongst various innovative experiences that pay homage to the Portuguese language, such as immersive and interactive installations, the museum is also presenting the exhibition “Língua Solta”, which include works by artists Paulo Bruscky, Marcelo Silveira and Cao Guimarães. Also part of the exhibition is Marta Neves, artist that integrates On the shoulder of giants, currently on view at Nara Roesler New York.
The presentation is curated by Fabiana Moraes and Moacir dos Anjos, and includes works by over 180 artists that intertwine art with politics, social life, everyday practices, or religion through objects anchored in the Portuguese language.
The exhibition will be on view until 3 October, 2021. Go to the Museu da Língua Portuguesa website to learn more and book your tickets.
