forever is now

JR is one of the ten international contemporary artists participating in “Forever is now”, a trail of large-scale sculptures and installations that pave ways to the world’s wonders. The first event of its’ kind is taking place at the Great Pyramids of Egypt, a 4,500-year-old Unesco World Heritage Site. JR’s work depicts a giant hand holding a postcard of one of the pyramids that, when viewed from the right angle, creates the illusion that the top of the ancient structure has been split from its base and is levitating above it.
