Tomie Ohtake is part of the group exhibition Raio-que-o-parta: fictions of the modern in Brazil at Sesc 24 de Maio. The exhibition reflects on the notion of modern art in Brazil beyond the 1920s. Its intention is to raise attention to the different types of languages and ways of creating and sharing images in said period. To this end, works from a time span from the end of the 19th century to the mid-20th century are compiled, in addition to the essential presence of artists who developed their research in several Brazilian states.
