The private collection of Susana and Ricardo Steinbruch will be exhibited at the Reina Sofía museum in Madrid. With the title Un acto de ver que se despliega. Colección Susana y Ricardo Steinbruch (An act of seeing that unfolds. Collection Susana and Ricardo Steinbruch), the show will bring together a good part of the collection of the couple, one of the largest art collectors in Latin America. The opening will be on the 8th of November.
Described as “an important collection from different periods and geographies, centered, above all, on Latin American and Brazilian contemporaneity”, the collection has works by artists such as Jonathas de Andrade, Artur Barrio, Geraldo de Barros, Lygia Clark, Antonio Dias, Leonilson , Anna Maria Maiolino, Cildo Meireles, Hélio Oiticica, Regina Silveira and Tunga.
