Vik Muniz presents Flora Industrialis, on view at Museo Universidad de Navarra, in Spain. The exhibition presents photographs of artificial flowers inspired by engravings and drawings from the 19th century Latin American flora albums in the collection of the University of Navarre Museum.
The project is the result of the artist's participation in the Museum's Tender Puentes artistic residency program, and it develops poetically in the space that exists between science and art. In the artist's representations, there is a clear reflection on the perception, understanding and interpretation of images.
