Carlos Bunga received the AICA/MC/Millennium BCP 2023 Visual Arts Award.
The artist was recognized for his process-oriented work, created at the crossroads of the disciplinary fields and formats of sculpture, painting, drawing, performance, and video, often resulting in in-situ installations with a strong architectural component. The jury highlighted his most recent solo exhibitions in Europe, and his participation in the 30th São Paulo Biennial 'Choreographies of the Impossible' (2023).
