Carnival: An Odyssey of Brazilian Art is now on view at CFHILL in Sweden. Curated by Cecilia Dupire, the exhibition brings together artists exclusively represented by Nara Roesler, offering a powerful glimpse into the richness and complexity of Brazilian artistic production.

Many of the works reflect the country’s cultural fusion—Indigenous, African, and Portuguese influences merging into a vibrant visual language. Baroque elements, carnival motifs, and references to faith, identity, and social progress reveal the essence of Brazil: constant motion, reinvention, and resilience.

Featuring works by Elian Almeida, Cristina Canale, Bruno Dunley, Maria Klabin, Artur Lescher, Vik Muniz, Tomie Ohtake, Alberto Pitta, and Sérgio Sister, the exhibition embraces a free-flowing, organic approach to artistic expression. Their works radiate spontaneity, dynamism, and vitality—transforming nature and cultural diversity into bold and expressive forms.
