The Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Condeduque, in Madrid, presents Time, Dream, Smell, a solo exhibition by Brazilian artist Jonathas de Andrade, as part of the program The Sound of Your Eye Brushing by Me. The exhibition brings together a selection of the artist’s recent films — O Peixe, Nó na garganta, Columbófilos, Olho da Rua, and Jogos Dirigidos — works that challenge traditional modes of representation by activating bodies, landscapes, and realities of the Global South. Marked by a practice rooted in collective engagement, de Andrade proposes performative exercises to diverse groups, revealing alternative ways of existing and coexisting. His works expand the imagination beyond a Western worldview, proposing encounters between species, affections, and temporalities that invite the public to rethink the potential of the body and of art as tools to imagine the future.
