Celebrating 50 years of Nara Roesler's career as a gallerist, Nara Roesler introduces its new visual identity. In 2026, gallerist Nara Roesler celebrates five decades of activity in contemporary art.
Beginning in 1976 in Recife with the exhibition O Desenho em Pernambuco, Roesler's career has become one of the most influential in the promotion and internationalization of Brazilian art.
Over the past 50 years, the gallerist consolidated her presence in São Paulo, later expanding to Rio de Janeiro, and, in 2016, becoming the first Brazilian gallery to open a space in New York City, strengthening the dialogue between Brazilian artistic production and the international art circuit. Today, alongside Alexandre Roesler, Daniel Roesler, and Fabiola Ceni, she continues to lead a program that combines curatorial rigor, institutional thinking, and a global presence.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the gallery will present a special program throughout 2026 across its three locations, featuring group exhibitions conceived around themes central to the gallery’s history. The exhibitions will be curated by Moacir dos Anjos, Agnaldo Farias, Magali Arriola, Vik Muniz, Ariel Jimenez, and Bernardo Mosqueira, under the artistic direction of Luis Pérez-Oramas. The celebration will be accompanied by the gallery’s participation in major international art fairs and will culminate in the launch of a commemorative publication dedicated to the 50-year history of Nara Roesler.
