Virgínia de Medeiros is one of the invited contributors of The Chicago Architecture Biennial, “...and other such stories,” which will take place at Chicago Cultural Center through January 5, 2020. Virgínia integrates the exhibition with the videos "Who does not struggle is dead: Dani, Jô Marina, Sonia, Elaine" (2016-19), as part of the 'MSTC –Housing as Citizenship Practice' pavilion, which as commissioned by the Biennial. Virginia de Medeiros integrates as well the exhibition catalog with a visual piece conceived specially for the occasion and that is based on her 'Guerrilheiras' [Female Guerillas] series, which is part of the Alma de Bronze [Bronze Soul] project, as a result of the artist’s experience with the women who lead Frente de Luta por Moradia (FLM, the Struggle for Housing Movement) of MSTC. The Chicago Architecture Biennial is curated by Yesomi Umolu, Sepake Angiama, and Paulo Tavares. ⁠⠀
