Space, bodies, the passing of time and the concept of ephemerality – and the connection between these concepts – are some of the topics thought by Laura Vinci through art. Known for her sculptures and large-scale installations, the Brazilian artist also works as an art director in theater productions. One of her most recent (and celebrated) works is “Folhas avulsas" (Loose leaves, 2018), a poetic intervention made of delicate gold-plated leaves. In this video, the artist talks about the piece and her visions on art. Laura is one of the highlights of The Armory Show 2019, on show until Sunday in New York.
