Archaeologies of the Selfie, curated by Luis Pérez-Oramas at Galeria Nara Roesler | New York, presents works that reflect on an important subject in our culture today: the rhetoric about the self, currently reinvigorated by the nature of contemporary image production, positioning the selfie within an art historical trajectory that has accompanied this social, anthropological and psychological phenomenon.
