about

Nara Roesler is pleased to present Julio Le Parc at WINDOW, on view at 91 Walker Street in Tribeca, New York. The exhibition brings together two bodies of work by the artist: “Sphère rouge” (2013), a sculpture composed of translucent red acrylic plates and nylon, and four acrylic-on-canvas paintings from the Ensemble couleur, “Étape series” (2022). The sculpture extends Le Parc’s longstanding investigation into real movement, while the paintings explore chromatic relationships through structured geometric compositions, foregrounding key concerns in his practice such as movement, color, and the activation of perception.

Opening shortly after the artist’s passing on May 30, 2026, the presentation coincides with Julio Le Parc: Light. Colour. Action at Tate Modern, London, on view through May 3, 2027. At WINDOW, Sphère rouge establishes a dialogue with “Sphère bleue” (2022), included in the Tate exhibition, highlighting the continuity of Le Parc’s research across decades. The presentation is the second of three exhibitions organized by Nara Roesler at WINDOW in 2026, and reflects the gallery’s longstanding relationship with the artist, as well as its ongoing collaboration with Anton Kern Gallery to bring focused projects to New York audiences.
