Berna Reale's first show in Belo Horizonte, Festa occupies the city's Viaduto das Artes with an installation that resembles a big nightclub, juxtaposing the sound of party music with police sirens and crime reports, as well as elements such as trays of candies, cardboard pierced by bullets and revolving lights - a subtle combination of signs to represent the violence between the social strata and the mutual cannibalism of order and power structures. Also part of the exhibition are the photographs Sobremesa [dessert] (2018) and Comida de rua [street food] (2018), through which the artist denounces racism and the use of weapons to feed the pleasure of individual power.
