Works by Eduardo Navarro and Paul Ramírez Jonas are part of the exhibition Portadores de sentido – Arte contemporáneo en la Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, curated by Sofia Hernández Chong Cuy, at Museo Amparo in Puebla, Mexico. The show gathers 70 artists from 16 Latin American and Caribbean countries whose works were acquired by the Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Collection (CPPC) between 1990 and 2015. The project is centered on the possible dialogues between the contemporary art collection and other segments of the CPPC, such as modern art, colonial art, 19th century traveling artists and ethnographic objects from the Orinoco River basin. It allows us to understand artists as analytical thinkers who are sensitive to their surroundings - kind of sense bearers. Among the highlights is the work Poema volcánico (image), by Argentinian Eduardo Navarro in 2014 and donated by Patricia Phelps de Cisneros to the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires (MAMBA) in 2018.
