collaborative workshop
Nara roesler invites you to a workshop at Atelier Montex, one of the most renowned haute couture ateliers in Paris. The action is part of JR's latest project, which will take place in two acts at L’Opéra de Garnier, in Paris. In the first act, JR covered the façade of the Opera with a collage depicting a large cave. For the second act of the intervention, the façade of the building will be transformed into a stage curtain and JR invites participants to make a handprint of their own that will be incorporated into the intervention and decorate it using embroidery techniques taught by the atelier's embroiderers.
At the end of the workshop, as well as taking part in the project, participants will be photographed in one of JR's iconic photomatons and will be able to take their portrait home.
