about

Nara Roesler is pleased to present Rodolpho Parigi at WINDOW, located at 91 Walker Street in Tribeca, New York. Opening to the public on November 9, the presentation features a recent body of work by the artist, who is currently based in New York, where he works from a studio at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts.

Parigi’s works explore the fluidity and transfiguration of the body, unsettling the boundaries between the natural and the artificial. Drawing on art-historical references, fetish aesthetics, queerness, and pop culture, his practice challenges conventional notions of identity, corporeality, and representation.

Known for his vibrant, surrealist-inflected practice spanning painting, drawing, and performance, Parigi combines technical virtuosity with a distinctive visual language that blurs the boundaries between figuration and abstraction, the familiar and the uncanny.

Following significant institutional recognition in Brazil, with works held in the collections of the Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand (MASP), the Pinacoteca de São Paulo, and the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR), this presentation marks an important moment in the artist’s career. Part of a year-long collaboration between Nara Roesler and Anton Kern Gallery, it further expands Parigi’s presence in New York and deepens his engagement with the city’s contemporary art scene.
